Our client, who are a specialist independent lettings company based in Loughton and South Woodford, are currently looking for a Trainee Lettings Negotiator for their busy Loughton office. The company have become synonymous with the highest standards in the lettings and care of rented properties. They retain their emphasis on providing high quality personal service for all their clients. They are fully bonded members of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA).

The ideal candidate must have some lettings experience, or if not, then good customer service and sales experience. You must be well presented and well spoken to be able to deliver an excellent standard of customer service at all times. You must hold a full UK driving licence and be a car owner.

Salary package and benefits for the role include:

  • Basic £18,000 to £22,000
  • OTE £30,000
  • 10% commission

  • Mon to Fri 8.45am to 6pm working every Saturday with a day back in lieu (5 day week)

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Ability to identify appropriate properties for clients and vice/versa
  • Good working knowledge of inventory
  • Speaking with potential tenants
  • Building relationships with landlords and tenants
  • Generating leads
  • Provide advice and guidance
  • Turn initial enquiries into actual business
  • Making a large volume of calls to potential tenants

Skills and experience required include:

  • Some previous lettings experience, or good sales and customer experience
  • Team player
  • Well-presented and articulate
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Enjoys dealing with customers face to face as well as over the phone
  • Exceptional customer-service skills
  • Ambitious and target driven
  • Natural selling ability
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Must hold full UK driving licence and own your own car
