We're currently recruiting for a Mortgage Broker for our Estate Agency client based in Harpenden.
The ideal candidate must have been writing mortgages for a minimum of 1 year, with protection experience being a bonus, working across 3 offices - Welwyn, Harpenden and Berkhamsted with support from the Mortgage Administrators.
Candidates must be a UK Resident and ideally live within a 30-minute commute of the area.
You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have the use of your own car.
Salary and benefits package for the role of Mortgage Broker:
- Basic £30,000 - £40,000
- OTE £50,000 - £70,000 DOE
- Tiered commission structure
- Monday to Friday 8.30am - 6pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays working from home

Responsibilities for the role of Mortgage Broker:
- All leads will be provided including remortgage and new leads
- Responsible for 3 offices and will be required to work at all 3 of these
- Converting leads
- Manage a small team
- Keeping up to date with the current market and law
- Working closely with clients
- Meeting sales targets
- Developing new prospects
- Enhancing business relationships
- Applying your expert knowledge of the industry
Key skills for the role of Mortgage Broker:
- Minimum of 1 years+ experience writing mortgages
- Mortgage and protection experience
- Equity release experience (ideally)
- Be fully CeMAP qualified
- CAS status
- Personable and dynamic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and works well within a team
- Well spoken with strong communication skills
- Smart and well presented
- Ambitious and self-motivated
- Able to thrive under pressure
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and have the use of your own car
