Location: Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid, approx. 2 days WFH)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00, possibility of 1 in 4 weekend working (time given back)
Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum
About the Role:
Our client in Hemel Hempstead has a vacancy for an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Planner to oversee all supply chain activities. This role will involve managing supplier relationships and collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure the smooth operation of supply activities, from planning and stock management to coordinating promotional events and distribution. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, be an effective communicator, and possess a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the inbound supply plan for the calendar year, ensuring efficient and effective stock flow
- Ensure accurate item allocation loading to support company sales targets and maintain supply assurance
- Manage optimum stock levels across the network, tracking all clean-up and item activity
- Conduct root cause analysis, manage escalations, and resolve issues with the engagement of all stakeholders
- Handle the transition management of items, ensuring minimal disruption
- Plan, manage, and execute key promotional events, including product launches and peak periods, coordinating all key stakeholders
- Schedule and lead regular review meetings with internal teams and external partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring timely and accurate information sharing
- Collaborate closely with Operations to schedule inbound deliveries and manage distribution activities efficiently and within budget
- Align with internal teams to adapt to forecast changes and ensure consistent communication
- Identify opportunities to optimise end-to-end management of item categories
Skills and Experience Required:
- A positive, can-do attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proven experience managing an end-to-end operational supply chain
- Experience in FMCG, Retail, or Food industries
- Process-driven with a track record of managing change and driving continuous improvement
- Analytical thinker with the ability to identify issues and lead effective resolutions
