We are seeking an experienced EDS (Electrical Distribution System) Project Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of electrical wiring systems for High Voltage & Low Voltage EE platforms. The role involves overseeing system architecture, harness design, EDS Make to Print drawings and cross-functional coordination to ensure robust and compliant electrical distribution across vehicle systems.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead the design and development of electrical distribution systems for LV & HV applications.
  • Define system architecture, wiring harness layout, and component specifications.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of EDS with vehicle systems.
  • Review and validate electrical schematics, 2D/3D harness designs, and BOMs.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards and functional safety requirements.
  • DFMEAs and technical specification writing for EDS systems.
  • Support issue resolution, change management, and supplier coordination throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Ensure DFA, DFM & DFS.
  • Prototype vehicle build; ensure learnings are captured for production vehicle build.
  • Ensure EE component mechanical packaging ensuring vehicle’s fit and function requirements.
  • EDS Component & systems testing, validation and verification (DVP support).
  • Build issue management related to EDS and Electrical components.
  • Regular project updates and reporting to Customer side managers and internal senior teams.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automotive Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in EDS design and development, preferably in EV or hybrid platforms.
  • Strong understanding of electrical architecture, wiring harness design, and vehicle integration.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards (ISO, IEC, etc.) and functional safety principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficient in EDS CAD software like CATIA V5 EDS Workbench, Arcadia, Capital Harness, PREEvision.
  • Proficient in documentation and reporting using MS Office.
