Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for Test Engineer to be based at our customer's office in Gaydon.
Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers.
It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
Scope of Role
Plan, execute and report verification and validation activities for vehicle systems, software and electronic components across simulation, bench, rig and vehicle environments.
- Area of Responsibility
- Review requirements and develop test specifications, procedures and traceability.
- Prepare test environments, configurations, equipment and data acquisition.
- Execute manual and automated functional, network and system tests.
- Perform tests on SIL, HIL, rigs, lab cars and vehicles as applicable.
- Capture logs, traces and measurements and assess acceptance criteria.
- Raise defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Support root cause investigation, retest and regression activities.
- Maintain test coverage, execution status and validation reports.
- Support test automation and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge / Experience
Essential
- Degree or equivalent experience in electrical, electronic, software, automotive or test engineering.
- System or vehicle test experience.
- Requirements-based test development and execution experience.
- Knowledge of automotive networks and electronic systems.
- Strong defect reporting, data analysis and troubleshooting capability.
Desirable
- HIL/SIL, vehicle or automated test experience.
- Python, CAPL, MATLAB or v TESTstudio scripting.
- ASPICE and ISO 26262 awareness.
