Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Data Analyst ACE Configuration to be based at our customer’s site in Gaydon.

Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.

The Feature Configuration team within Product Information is a small yet dynamic team responsible for providing product configuration data for all JLR products. This data drives various key business processes throughout the end-to-end product development lifecycle up to and including customer vehicle ordering. The team is currently going through key transformational change while continuing to deliver the core day-to-day business requirements.

Due to the nature of our customer engagements, this role is currently open as both an inside IR35 contract or full-time employed. Remuneration will be determined based on the individual’s relative skill set, experience and overall fit for the role.

Area of Responsibility

  • 100% accuracy in the data ensuring no non-buildable conditions are sent to manufacturing plants
  • Consume directional inputs from various sources such as Engineering, Marketing etc. and turn information into useable data
  • Perform core data modelling activities turning directional data into feature configuration data in the corporate system which feeds numerous downstream customers, systems & processes
  • Perform various quality validation activities to ensure output of the team is 100% accurate
  • Identify, develop & deploy technical and business process improvements within the direct team and wider department
  • Stakeholder engagement across engineering and marketing functions to understand requirements and translate that into feature coding logic
  • Internal discussions on process improvement

Knowledge / Experience

  • Ability to complete wide ranging and complex tasks with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong project management and time/workload management skills
  • Competent at data analysis & manipulation in MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably educated to degree level in an Engineering or Business-related subject or willing to study for such a qualification. Experience will also be considered
  • Advanced skills such as VBA, SQL, Tableau etc. are an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Product Definition process would be an advantage
