Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.

Role Summary

The Technical Lead - ADAS is responsible for leading the design, development, integration, and validation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) including perception, decision-making, and control functionalities. This role requires deep technical leadership in sensor technologies (camera, radar, lidar), fusion algorithms, real-time embedded systems, and SDV architectures. The Technical Lead ensures robust system performance, safety compliance, and seamless integration of ADAS features across vehicle platforms while driving innovation in autonomous and assisted driving technologies.

Dimension of function

  • Lead end-to-end ADAS system integration across perception, fusion, and control layers
  • Own ADAS architecture definition, sensor integration strategy, and feature functionality alignment
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between perception, controls, validation, and vehicle integration teams
  • Ensure compliance with functional safety (ISO 26262), SOTIF (ISO 21448), cybersecurity, and OEM standards
  • Enable continuous improvement in ADAS performance, robustness, and scalability
  • Direct impact on vehicle safety, regulatory compliance, and customer-assist feature performance

Areas of responsibility

  1. Architecture & Systems Engineering
    • Define system interfaces across sensors, ECUs, and vehicle networks
    • Convert ADAS feature requirements (e.g., ACC, LKA, AEB, Parking Assist) into system specifications
  2. ADAS Development & Integration
    • Oversee integration of sensors (camera, radar, lidar, ultrasonic) into vehicle platforms
    • Lead development and tuning of perception and control algorithms
    • Ensure seamless integration with vehicle systems (powertrain, braking, steering, body)
    • Drive debugging of sensor data inconsistencies, calibration issues, and real-time control challenges
  3. Validation & Compliance
    • Define ADAS validation strategies (SIL, HIL, VIL, simulation, and vehicle testing)
    • Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), NCAP, and global regulatory standards
    • Drive scenario-based validation, edge-case testing, and safety case development
    • Lead FMEA/FMEDA and hazard analysis activities
  4. Tools & Automation
    • Experience with data logging, scenario simulation, and replay tools
    • Develop automation frameworks (Python, MATLAB) for validation and regression testing
    • Optimize toolchains for ADAS development, calibration, and performance evaluation
    • Lead adoption of advanced ADAS features and autonomous driving capabilities
    • Drive improvements in perception accuracy, system latency, and decision robustness
    • Enable integration with AI/ML-based perception and cloud-based validation ecosystems
    • Promote reusable, scalable ADAS architectures for multi-platform deployment

Knowledge/Experience

  • Education: Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer / Automotive Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience: Strong experience in ADAS / autonomous driving / embedded systems development
  • Strong expertise in sensor technologies, fusion algorithms, and real-time control systems
  • Proven experience in leading ADAS system integration programs
  • Hands-on debugging of sensor fusion, perception, and control system issues
  • Experience with simulation, AI/ML-based perception, or autonomous driving platforms (preferred)
