Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a PLM Service Validation & Transformation Lead to be based at our customer site in Gaydon.
Job Purpose
As a PLM Service Validation & Transformation Lead you will drive the end-to-end quality assurance, service validation and continuous transformation of a large-scale PLM systems within customer enterprise landscape. This role involves product ownership, test strategy leadership, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement, ensuring high quality and reliable PLM services for Engineering, Manufacturing, and enterprise users.
The successful candidate will serve as the first line interface to the customer Product Manager, working closely with the domain/IT leaders, PLM departments and offshore squads based out of India. The primary responsibility is to lead the team members working in this value stream for day-to-day operation activities related to service validation and testing, manage the stakeholders within the department and other connected departments in the customer organisation, drive the team to deliver value across the value stream. The role also includes responsibility for continuous maintenance and enhancement of the PLM test automation framework and automated regression suites.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical depth, product ownership mindset, and agile delivery experience. This role is based in Gaydon, UK with a hybrid working model requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Key Accountabilities
·Define and implement end-to-end QA strategy across all PLM modules and integrations
·Establish and own the vision, product backlog & roadmap for the service validation and testing value stream area and ensure it is always up to date.
·Manage and continuously enhance the test automation framework and automated regression suites.
·Ensure validation coverage across functional, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
·Maintain and own the QA product backlog, ensure sprint delivery, and manage defect lifecycle.
·Provide QA metrics, dashboards, and release go/no-go inputs to functions.
·Align with agile ceremonies and ensure collaboration between development and deployment teams.
·Support stakeholder communications, manage escalations, and represent QA in cross-functional forums.
·Act as a SPOC for escalation for any issues around the value stream delivery
·Liaise with other value streams for the support activities which are cross functional.
·Influence and shape enterprise quality roadmaps by running POCs, suggesting tooling improvements and proactively enhancing frameworks for the wider quality community.
·Lead and influence teams at different levels and scale, to minimise inefficiencies and mitigate any risks for large scale deliveries.
Knowledge / Experience
·Extensive overall experience and also experience in a lead or product ownership role.
·Strong people management skills with a proven ability to hire and grow teams.
·Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrable experience communicating cross-functionally with architects and product owners in formal and informal settings.
·Strong organisational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
·Knowledge of PLM platforms (., Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE, Windchill).
·Exposure to test automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, Tosca, Eggplant, .
·Familiarity with test management and CI/CD tools (JIRA, Zephyr, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
·Demonstrated experience in Agile delivery models and multi-vendor environments.
·Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 products and Microsoft Teams
·Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence
·Prior experience working in onsite customer-facing roles
·Experience in Automotive/Aerospace/Manufacturing industries
·Familiarity in XRAY, the test management plugin for Jira
·Certifications such as ITIL, Agile Product Owner or Scrum Master.
