Lead Engineer- Cockpit
Role Summary
The Lead Engineer will be responsible for supporting the PL/PE/DE to ensure service is delivered of cockpit and Console. This role is highly demanding as the role as the LE needs to manage technical delivery and ensure design issues are resolved. LE will have to work closely with the ML/DE, Customers to ensure service delivery is achieved.

Adhere to agreed governance model & maintain and review design dashboard with Customer.
Area of Responsibility
Planning –
· Technical excellence in forecast of technical issues that may arise as a part of component delivery (design, packaging, supplier DFM etc)
· Plan, Define, inherit technical best practices, lessons learnt, design/engineering principles into design delivery.
· Provide inputs and validate component delivery plans DFMEA/DVP
· Provide benchmarking inputs into design/development of parts/system.
· Provide/present technical core competency plans to grow company competency to gain complex projects
Execution –
· Ensure early forecast of design issues and plan of actions to resolve.
· Provide technical guidance as per domain requirements to PE/DE during a concept to delivery phase of project
· Keep track of issues arising out of design phase and resolve them.
· Be the go-to person for PE/DE on technical issues.
· Be the technical excellence link between the customer and the project team to ensure robust and first-time right approach.
· Work close with customer/PE/DE and ensure project plan is on track for delivery.
· Help design team with supplier/CFT team discussion of DFM/DFA/DFS.
Help team with completion of DVP actions and ensure robust/timely resolution of issues
Knowledge / Experience
· Proven Technical excellence with experience of engineering team management, experience of product design perhaps involving complex systems integration or the use of multiple technologies.
· Ability to lead the resolution of technical and process issues as they arise. Successful history from automotive domain an added advantage
· Excellent organisation skills, prioritising multiple project activities and guiding the team in right direction
· Proven track record, Experienced in OEM or tier one component delivery.
· Knowledge of change control, product definition and change management processes will also prove invaluable.
· Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues as they arise.
Proficient in CATIA.
