THE ROLE The Lead Engineer - Chassis Launch (Axles) is responsible forcomplete engineering ownership ofallocatedchassis components during vehicle launch and industrialisation, ensuring successful delivery into production. AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY Engineering ownership ofallocatedbrakescommodities and associated bracketsfrom the following group:Brake pipes, brake hoses, brake pedal, accelerator pedal. Drive all engineering,qualityand manufacturing issues to resolution Ensure DV, PV, sign-off activities and engineering releases are completed Support, pilot, pre-production and production builds Deliver components on time,costand specification Manage engineering changes and programme risks Coordinate suppliers and cross-functional teams Ensure vehicle builds are supported with correct parts and engineering status Escalate issues whererequired Support launch activities at Solihull manufacturing facility Ensure maturation of components in line with programme plans Communicate engineering status to Chassis Launch leader KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience Experience deliveringbrakes or other chassiscomponents within automotive programmes Proven project management and issue resolution capability Knowledge of product development, validation and launch processes Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA and structured problem solving PC literacy: Microsoft Project, PowerPoint,Exceland Word Preferred: Understanding of client release and change management systems CAD literacy and ability to interrogate CAD models Experience supporting BEV vehicle launches In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package, including: Pension scheme with up to 5% employer contribution Private healthcare Group income protection Employee Assistance Program Group life assurance Health cash plan If you are passionate about innovation and want to join a global engineering company, this is the place for you.
