The HRBP Lead role focuses on providing HR solutions that support the business objective, offering relevant support to key stakeholders on people issues, and coaching/training to people managers to enable effective performance management and development. The role ensures that working practices meet legal obligations as an employer and provides first-class HR service. The incumbent will supervise a team of HR professionals and work with a range of stakeholders to drive the Learning and Development agenda, meeting business priorities and maximise the potential of employees. The ability to build relationships across the business and to manage complex HR projects and communicate across various levels and regions is required.
Responsibilities
- Work with the VP of HR in the development and maintenance of an ongoing, effective Business HR strategy for the UK.
- Provide strategic HR support to all levels of management to build people management capability through proactive identification and application of HR solutions that support business objectives.
- Manage end-to-end employee relations cases, including disciplinary and investigation processes and grievances. Manage and control redundancy processes and TUPEs.
- Coach managers and teams in the use of relevant HR tools to ensure high performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with management teams to effectively implement HR/business strategies and evaluate progress; manage HR elements of business changes in line with best practice and drive organisational and cultural change.
- Act as Change Agent, including project planning from an HR perspective.
- Work with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to strengthen resource and talent planning, quantify gaps in business-critical competencies, and map key talent groups.
- Provide support on TTL deputation policy/programs and related assignment/relocation processes for HR and UK managers; manage international assignees throughout the assignment cycle.
- Utilise HR and business metrics to identify emerging issues and demonstrate value and progress of HR strategies/solutions; suggest proactive solutions based on trends.
- Facilitate Employee Engagement actions for the UK business and support the implementation of fair and ethical work practices to optimise engagement and wellbeing.
- Ensure full compliance with internal and statutory requirements; provide robust guidance on policy, processes and practices to meet legal obligations as an employer.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues globally to share knowledge and best practices.
- Manage Learning & Development stakeholders to secure engagement, sponsorship and outcomes for Graduate Engineer, Apprenticeship and Ready Engineer programs; optimise the Apprenticeship Levy use; identify succession planning and training needs; provide Learning and Development solutions within budget.
- Manage and track metrics, data and prepare management information reports related to training interventions and programme evaluation.
