The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for developing electrical systems design on robotics platforms, advancing existing designs, load and protection studies, cost estimation, cabinets structural design and optimization, and to incorporate all safety requirements applicable to the machine in design. Proficient in EPlan and familiarity with 3DExperience is desired.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts for robotic systems.
- Select and integrate sensors, actuators, power systems, and communication interfaces.
- Perform simulations and analysis to validate electrical designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
- Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of robotic systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, EMC regulations, and industry best practices.
- Maintain documentation for designs, revisions, and test results.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Significant experience in electrical design, preferably in robotics or automation.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5, Eplan, 3D experience).
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, motor control, and power electronics.
- Experience with microcontrollers, PLCs, and industrial communication protocols.
- Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., IEC, ISO, UL) and EMC compliance.
