At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a BMS System Integration Engineer to be based at our office in Warwick.

Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems.

A successful candidate will be highly motivated, well versed in the state-of-the art, and capable of driving design and execution through all development stages.

Area of Responsibility:

  • Lead end-to-end system integration of Battery Management Systems (BMS) across battery cells, modules, packs, and higher-level systems.
  • Integrate BMS hardware and software with vehicle, inverter, PCS, EMS, charger, or grid interfaces.
  • Own BMS functional integration, including cell monitoring, balancing, thermal management, protection, diagnostics, and state estimation (SOC, SOH, SOP).
  • Define and manage BMS interface requirements with ECUs, power electronics, safety systems, and external controllers.
  • Ensure reliable communication using CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, Modbus, and custom protocols.
  • Lead system-level requirements decomposition, allocation, and traceability related to BMS functions.
  • Support BMS algorithm integration, calibration, and validation activities.
  • Work closely with battery suppliers, BMS vendors, and system integrators to ensure hardware-software compatibility.
