Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Lead Engineer - Exterior Trims to be based at our customer’s office in Crewe, UK. Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Lead Engineer will be responsible for supporting the PL/PE/DE to ensure service is delivered of Exterior Trims with the right quality meeting customer expectations. This role is highly demanding as the Lead Engineer needs to manage technical delivery and ensure design issues are resolved. The Lead Engineer will have to work closely with the ML/LE/DE, Customers to ensure service delivery is achieved.
Responsible for the Technical delivery, input/validate DFMEA/DVP, Delivery quality, Right First-time approach, design issues reporting and supporting governance of all Client Engagements. Responsible to ensure all technical delivery processes are robustly deployed into Project plans, design issue tracking/resolution mechanism, Design resource efficiency, Project task forecasting, upskilling/skill gaps. The role requires being onsite at the customer’s location 3 days a week.
