Overview
As Electrical Plant Engineering Manager, you will lead a large electrical engineering function to keep manufacturing assets safe, reliable and performing at world-class levels.
You will drive safety, reliability and continuous improvement while collaborating with manufacturing, projects and technical teams.
The role combines people leadership with strategic asset management and capital projects to reduce downtime and enable future investment.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a large team of engineers, supervisors, technicians and electricians.
- Drive safety culture to support Zero Harm.
- Improve equipment reliability, availability and operational performance.
- Develop and maintain asset management and maintenance strategies.
- Support major maintenance shutdowns and engineering improvement programmes.
- Support capital investment projects, commissioning and new technology implementation.
- Manage engineering budgets and ensure compliance with standards.
- Develop engineering capability through coaching, succession planning and apprenticeships.
- Ensure effective daily electrical resource management.
- Engage with stakeholders across manufacturing, projects, technical and support functions.
- Promote structured Root Cause Analysis and co-chair reliability reviews; drive learning from failures.
- Drive adoption of AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making.
- Key requirements
- Extensive experience leading teams in manufacturing, industrial or engineering environments.
- Proven ability to develop people, influence stakeholders and foster accountability.
- Strong organisational, planning and budget-management skills.
- Safety leadership with visible leadership behaviours.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams).
