What you’ll do:
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults to keep our manufacturing processes moving.
- Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and safety checks, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Collaborate with our engineering and manufacturing teams to improve system performance and recommend upgrades.
- Keep your skills sharp with ongoing training and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.
- Supervise both Tata Steel and contractor personnel, maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Work with modern electrical systems including PLCs, Drives, and AC & DC motor circuitry—interpreting wiring and schematic diagrams to ensure precision work.
What you’ll need:
- Ideally, you’ll have an ONC qualification or equivalent, typically gained through a craft apprenticeship in electrical engineering or a Modern Apprenticeship certificate.
- Previous experience working with electrical systems in a manufacturing environment is a must.
- You’ll also need strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to manage tasks independently and under pressure.
