What you will do: As a Mechanical Craft, you will play a key role in delivering high standards of maintenance, inspection, and fault resolution to support safe and reliable production. You will:
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment
- Diagnose and repair faults on plant equipment
- Provide mechanical expertise to improve plant performance and reliability
- Work in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards
- Support the training of new team members
- Contribute to improvement activities and technical investigations
You’ll be working on equipment such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gearboxes and process rolls, will interpret technical drawings and ensure maintenance is completed to high engineering standards.
What you will need: You’ll ideally be qualified to HNC level, typically gained via a craft or modern apprenticeship in mechanical engineering. You should also have:
- Relevant plant or heavy industrial experience
- A good understanding of mechanical systems and safety protocols
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- The ability to work independently and under pressure
