What you will do: As an Electrical/Process Control & Automation Craft, you will play a key role in delivering high standards of maintenance, inspection, and fault resolution to support safe and reliable production. You will:
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems
- Diagnose and repair faults in plant equipment and automation systems
- Provide electrical expertise to improve plant performance and reliability
- Work in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards
- Support the training of new team members
- Contribute to improvement activities and technical investigations
You’ll be working with systems such as PLCs, digital drives and AC/DC motors, will interpret technical drawings and ensure maintenance is completed to high engineering standards.
What you will need: You’ll ideally be qualified to HNC level, typically gained via a craft or modern apprenticeship in electrical/process control engineering. You should also have:
- Relevant plant or heavy industrial experience
- A good understanding of modern electrical systems and safety protocols
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- The ability to work independently and under pressure
