TATA Steel are looking for a reliable, proactive individual within their Heavy Gauge department. This role requires manual handling and experience within a heavy industry environment. The successful applicant will be flexible to shift rotation and eager to learn new skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring material is dispatched as per client request
- Loading and receiving goods on an inbound and outbound basis
- Adhering to Health and Safety at all times
- General housekeeping, including stock takes, quality checks and reporting damages
- Operating machinery as part of the role (training provided)
Requirements
- Driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Previous experience within a warehouse or production environment
- Ability to work as a team-player
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
- Able to conduct manual handling duties including bending, lifting bulky items and staying on foot for long periods
