At Tata Steel, we’re looking for a Process Safety Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our operations. What you will do

As a Process Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing process safety standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading risk management initiatives. You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to assess hazards, identify improvements, and embed best practices across the site.

Your role will involve conducting process hazard analyses, reviewing safety procedures, and supporting investigations into process-related incidents. The Process Safety Engineer will play a key part in training and mentoring colleagues on process safety principles, fostering a culture where safety is at the forefront of everything we do.

By engaging with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, you will ensure that Tata Steel remains at the leading edge of process safety management.

What you will need

We’re looking for an experienced safety professional with a strong technical background in process safety or chemical engineering. You’ll need a thorough understanding of risk assessment techniques, process hazard analysis, and compliance with industry regulations.

A degree in a relevant engineering discipline is essential, along with experience working in a high-hazard environment such as steel, oil and gas, or chemicals. Strong communication skills are key, as you’ll be working with teams at all levels to drive process safety improvements.
