What you will do:
- Ensure material is despatched to requirements as safely and efficiently as possible.
- Move inbound into the Warehouse from all mills, working to plans and within the scope of space/resource available.
- Operate MDT for loading and inbound, remote crane, and maintain housekeeping.
- Safely load and unload goods using Combi Lift MDT Truck and remote control crane with slings, checking quality and ensuring paperwork matches.
- Handle internal movements of bundles/equipment using a remote controlled crane.
- Report any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Team leaders.
- Keep the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintain equipment.
- Adhere to workplace health, safety and environmental requirements when handling goods to ensure own and others’ safety.
- Carry out lifting and manoeuvring of product in accordance with manual handling standards and operational procedures.
- Treat the product with care and concern at all times.
- Move stock around the site using RTS truck, crane with slinging ropes, or occasionally dunnage with forklift truck.
What you will need:
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of how to use scanners and relevant software programs such as warehouse management systems (training will be provided).
- Good communication skills with hauliers/shunters to achieve efficient and safe load build for goods dispatch.
- Ability to carry out stock‑take as and when required, ensuring paperwork/ERP system is up to date.
