At Tata Steel, we’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to manage and maintain our high voltage infrastructure, ensuring reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement in our operations. What you will do
In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and upgrading of high voltage electrical systems across the site. You’ll ensure compliance with safety regulations, optimise system performance, and work with operational teams to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting electrical issues, managing planned maintenance activities, and coordinating with contractors to deliver high-quality work. You’ll also play a key role in identifying and implementing improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
As part of your role, you’ll provide technical expertise to support capital projects, ensuring HV electrical systems are designed and maintained to the highest standards.
What you will need
We’re looking for an experienced electrical engineer with in-depth knowledge of high voltage systems, safety regulations, and maintenance best practices. You’ll need strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to managing risks.
A degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent experience) is essential, along with experience in managing HV infrastructure in a heavy industrial setting. The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively is also key to success in this role.
