We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Head to lead our commercial strategy. Reporting to the Managing Director of Building Systems UK and playing a key role within the senior management team, you will lead our commercial function delivering long-term value to Tata Steel.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with the Managing Director to define business plans, align on objectives, and deliver the commercial strategy through strategic leadership.
- Working in a fast-paced cross-functional team, you’ll drive sustainable growth through strategic initiatives, market expansion, innovation, and leading customer experience.
- Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing commercial team, fostering a growth-oriented culture and embedding best practices.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, customers, and supply chain partners, ensuring excellence and exceptional customer experience.
- A custodian of the Tata Steel UK & Building Systems UK governance process, ensuring commercial teams adhere to group policies and standards, following our Governance and Compliance policies.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in commercial management, with exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, combined with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- A proven ability to develop and inspire teams, alongside a commitment to delivering on company values, safety, and wellbeing standards.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trust across commercial, planning, and operational functions.
- Substantial experience working with diverse construction product portfolios, ideally in the cladding sector.
The successful candidate would need to be able to be flexible with hybrid office working, regular travel across the UK, and with occasional travel overseas.
