Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical assessments of automotive hardware components, including Microcontrollers (MCUs), System-on-Chip (SoC) devices, analog components, and power systems, in accordance with ISO 26262 requirements.
  • Conduct independent functional safety analyses to evaluate hardware robustness and capability to withstand random hardware faults.
  • Perform fault injection simulations and support hardware teams in designing fault-tolerant and safety-compliant solutions.
  • Assess hardware architectures and safety mechanisms to improve reliability and diagnostic coverage.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams across multiple locations to drive safety activities and project execution.
  • Support safety reviews, audits, and compliance activities throughout the product development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in automotive functional safety analysis.
  • Good understanding of digital electronics and microcontroller architecture.
  • Working knowledge of the ISO 26262 functional safety standard.
  • Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL.
  • Understanding of communication protocols used in automotive and embedded systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Relevant semiconductor industry experience with exposure to automotive safety concepts.
  • Strong technical foundation in semiconductor and embedded hardware systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
