We are looking for a Validation Engineer with expertise in Powertrain Control Systems to support the definition, development, and execution of testing tools and methods for harmonised control system solutions.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Develop testing capability and improve testing quality using methodical approaches.
- Develop optimised system level test strategies to work within a Model Based Systems Engineering approach.
- Contribute to the delivery of Control Systems Testing onto all programmes, in line with the Systems Engineering discipline outlined by Product Creation Systems.
- Drive continuous improvement in Control System testing - Training, Support, Methods and Processes.
- Drive Design of Testing Methods into Model in Loop environment to enable right first time System development activity – support from Model in the Loop expertise will be given.
- ASPICE / UNCE / ISO relevant standard application to testing methodology and traceability.
- Deliver Propulsion Control System Verification and Validation capability through corporate toolchain – training in the tools will be provided.
- Provide testing tools and methods best practice knowledge and training capability to the Propulsion Control System Domain as capability and knowledge increases.
- Provide technical support across the operational team on topics relating to the integration and testing of multiple interconnected components including issue resolution and objective data analysis.
- Undertake relevant work as required in connection with their job as may be requested.
- Execute validation and verification activities for DC-DC converter, On-Board charger, and BMS systems.
- Conduct vehicle level BMCM SW release tests for multiple platforms/programmes.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Good relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector but the role may suit someone with experience in other transportation or safety industries.
- MatLab Simulink experience. MIL SIL experience, Integration testing.
- Experience in applying Systems Engineering and in testing of complex technical systems using a structured approach.
- Ability to produce formal documentation to a highly professional standard.
- Excellent Collaborative skills.
- Relevant experience of integrated system testing.
