We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Facilities & Layout Engineer. The ideal candidate should possess expertise and experience in the skill sets mentioned below.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:- Assess feasibility of new facilities and processes, development and management of projects for cost, quality and timing.
- Support the area by providing the required capability and capacity at manufacturing facilities and supporting equipment, aligned to the programme milestones, launch plans and production requirements.
- Develop robust/lean layout solutions to support facility project delivery or process/operational efficiency improvements.
- Manage, maintain and develop all Health, Safety and Operational Risk Management processes and site-specific processes and systems at the area.
- Contribute to the on-going Environmental Innovation and Reporting (Energy, Water, Waste) compliance with OEM standards.
- Co-ordinate the support and input of all relevant stakeholders to achieve acceptance, buy-off and successful handover of new or modified facilities.
- Be responsible for management of facility documentation on the projects they work on in line with Manufacturing Engineering procedures, supporting TS, ISO, SHARP, LQOS & FPS internal and external audits.
- Lead & partake in multifunctional New Equipment Procurement Teams through all project phases ensuring company procurement procedures are met & adhered to.
- A sound engineering and manufacturing background with previous experience in Facilities Development and Engineering.
- Proven experience and understanding of process conveyor technologies.
- Experience of reliability and maintainability principals and an understanding of the environmental impacts of engineering solutions.
- Ability to control & manage suppliers (both Material & Equipment).
- Ability to control & manage project budgets.
- Have a working knowledge of the application of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Ability to work unsupervised (at times) to a set of objectives & targets.
- Must be flexible regarding working hours as role requires after hours, weekend & shutdown working delivering objectives & targets.

Duration: 12 months fixed term employment
Salary: GBP41500/day
