We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of a Design Engineer. The ideal candidate should possess expertise and experience in the skill sets mentioned below.
Skill Requirements:- Knowledge of design of different types of automotive systems and subsystems.
- Good knowledge on parts and system level interfaces.
- Failure analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to moulding, sheet metal, mouldings, castings, and forging component design and development.
- Familiar with engineering change management systems.
- Collaborate within the team for integrated solutions to meet customer quality and timeline expectations.
- Participate in internal and customer reviews to ensure adherence to expectations and guidelines.
- Ability to take ownership of components from Concept to Production.
- Ability to spin around CAD geometries - Catia V5 or Catia V6 is advantageous / any CAD background considerable.
- Proficiency with G.D&T.
- Strong electro-mechanical engineering fundamentals would be a plus.
- Technically proficient in make to print, process engineering fundamentals, adhering to engineering specifications will be an add-on trait.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial, Production Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, project management skills.
- Proficient in software: Catia and PLM systems.
- Valid UK Driving license.
- Ability to visit around the suppliers on a need basis.
Location: Coventry, UK (Flexible to work across different customer locations within UK)
Salary: As per the market standards.
Hybrid work: YES/3 days from Coventry office.
