Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of the AWS cloud migration program from assessment to post-migration stabilization.
- Act as the single point of accountability for technical decisions, delivery milestones, risks, and outcomes.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and customer teams to align technical strategy with business goals.
- Track progress, manage dependencies, and proactively address risks and blockers.
- Lead cloud architecture design for AWS, including networking, security, compute, storage, and application architecture.
- Define target-state architecture, migration patterns (rehost, replatform, refactor, retire), and landing zone design.
- Ensure architectures follow AWS Well-Architected Framework principles (security, reliability, performance, cost, and operations).
- Review and approve detailed technical designs and migration plans.
- Lead application and infrastructure assessments to determine migration readiness.
- Define migration waves, cutover strategies, rollback plans, and success criteria.
- Guide teams during build, migration, testing, and go-live phases.
- Ensure minimal downtime and business continuity during migration activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS/ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Proven experience in cloud architecture and large-scale migration programs.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automation.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and identity in cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect – Professional preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree.
