Tata Consumer Products Ltd. is looking for a Packaging Category Buyer in Eaglescliffe, UK, reporting to the Head of International Procurement.

Key Deliverables:
- Financial Outcomes: Ensure competitive pricing, monitor Purchase Price Variance (PPV), process orders in line with the packaging budget, and identify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Customer Service: Collaborate with the Planning Department to manage materials, maintain supplier relationships, and provide timely updates on supply risks and performance.
- Internal Processes: Place orders, manage stock and inventory, maintain procurement data, and ensure compliance with the Tata Supplier Code of Conduct.
- Innovation and Learning: Work with teams to introduce new products, identify innovative solutions, and support sustainability objectives.
- Health & Safety / Compliance Accountability: Minimise supply chain risks, implement dual sourcing, and develop contingency plans for critical materials.

Desirable Success Factors:
- Understanding of category buying, ideally packaging, with a minimum of three years’ experience.
- Exposure to contracts, supplier relationship management, and supply chain risk management.
- Numerically literate with strong analytical skills; experience with SAP and Microsoft Office is desirable.
- Negotiation experience and ability to influence and communicate effectively.
- Proactive focus on bringing innovative solutions to procurement challenges.
