The Role: As an SF Payroll Lead, you will play a central part in transforming the client’s HR & Payroll landscape, enabling faster, compliant, and digital payroll operations. You will act as a trusted Employee Central Payroll SME, guiding the customer through their payroll modernisation journey and ensuring measurable improvements in accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role is mission‑critical within the SAP SuccessFactors programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end‑to‑end design of SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP), ensuring alignment with EC Core HR and overall HCM architecture.
- Define and validate end‑to‑end payroll process flows including time, payroll, posting, and payment.
- Oversee integration design between EC & ECP using PTP (Point‑to‑Point) and middleware where required.
- Lead payroll data migration strategy: legacy payroll elements, wage types, employee master, tax data, balances.
- Develop and execute test strategies for payroll cycles: unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression, and parallel payroll runs.
- Act as primary payroll SME for business stakeholders, HR, Finance, and technical teams.
- Lead workshops, requirement gathering sessions, gap analysis, and solution walkthroughs.
Your Profile:
- Experience in SAP Payroll, with at least 2–3 end‑to‑end UK‑ECP implementations.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, schemas, rules, and retroactive accounting.
- Hands‑on experience with EC Payroll, Payroll Control Center, Pay Statement, Banking, Finance Posting, and Time data replication.
- Strong command over SAP HCM Payroll schemas/rules and ECP extensions.
- Knowledge of SAP CPI, BIB, EC replication frameworks, and HCM integration add‑ons.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills using tools such as Payroll Log, PC_PAYRESULT, SLG1.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and agile project delivery.
- Experience with multi‑vendor payroll ecosystems (ADP, SD Worx, NGA) migration.
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Certification.
