The Role

As an L3 Support Engineer, you will be a key technical SME supporting a customer environment, primarily focused on Zscaler and identity services. This is a critical BAU role, currently managed by a single engineer, requiring strong ownership, problem‑solving, and coordination across multiple teams. You will handle day‑to‑day operational requests, incident resolution, and change activities, including migrations, access changes, and platform optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support BAU operations for Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
  • Design, implement, and maintain Zscaler solutions for secure internet and private application access.
  • Manage Zscaler configurations including policies, app connectors, authentication profiles, and access controls.
  • Monitor network traffic, analyse logs, and troubleshoot performance or access issues.
  • Support application migrations and Zscaler‑related change requests by coordinating with multiple technical teams.
  • Integrate Zscaler with enterprise services including identity providers, SIEM platforms, firewalls, and endpoint tools.
  • Collaborate with security and IT teams to meet compliance requirements and support audits and incident response.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including users, groups, RBAC, and directory synchronisation.
  • Configure and support SSO integrations using SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Implement and manage Azure Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Conditional Access policies.
  • Support identity governance processes including access packages, approvals, and access reviews.

Your Profile

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA).
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
  • Experience managing and maintaining Zscaler policies and configurations.
  • Ability to monitor traffic, analyse logs, and troubleshoot performance or access issues.
  • Experience configuring SSO for enterprise applications using SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
  • Experience designing and supporting identity governance solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Conditional Access and Multi‑Factor Authentication controls.
  • Experience contributing to project delivery alongside BAU support.
  • Ability to work across multiple teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive, ownership‑driven approach.
