The Role:

As a Supply Chain Consultant, you will be working in supply chain within Retail, being part of the team that clients and colleagues go-to person for the latest market trends and technology innovations. You are expected lead projects and participate in the design and delivery of major transformation programmes that can involve designing new services and operating models, building business cases and the subsequent change, undertaking whole system/service evaluations or delivering across complex, multi-partner implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development of new opportunities with new and existing clients and markets.
  • Supporting the development of new propositions that enable clients to meet future challenges which further develop the companies’ vision to become a strategic partner/ advisor to the client.
  • Using existing networks and connections to contribute to growth of the future revenue and sales pipeline.
  • Supporting the delivery of high value strategic advisory programmes to clients.
  • Conducting client capability improvement projects covering process re-engineering, compliance monitoring and change management.
  • Supporting project delivery, budget, profitability, and scope; recognising and managing risks and issues.
  • Representing TCS to clients and is a role model displaying integrity, innovation, and passion.
  • Keeping yourself up to date with the latest market trends and technology innovations in supply chain and logistics

Retail Supply Chain Experience

  • Network strategy: Use latest consumer insights and retailer strategies to design data-driven supply chain networks fit for the future.
  • Planning & forecasting: Support retailers in their forecasting objectives to improve retail operations, in store and DC replenishment, capacity planning, and resource planning.
  • Transport planning & optimisation: Help retailers optimise their transport and distribution planning to maximise order fulfillment and minimise logistics costs, whilst adapting to business disruptions and changes in their supply chain.
  • Supply chain visibility & optimisation: Create end to end visibility to manage volatility and prepare our clients’ supply chains for unforeseen disruption.
  • Reverse logistics: Support our clients’ reverse logistics challenges by applying insights throughout the reverse logistics supply chain to form holistic returns strategies.

Your Profile:

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Professional experience with a proven ability to deliver Supply Chain and logistics projects in the retail (or similar) industry.
  • Knowledge of the market leading operating models, technology and processes required to run a successful retail supply chain.
