Responsibilities

• Design and govern security solutions that directly strengthen Cyber Operations across a complex enterprise environment.
• Work at the intersection of operational security, enterprise architecture, and customer governance.
• Influence strategic security direction while ensuring solutions remain resilient, scalable, and compliant.

The Role

As a Security Solution Architect (Cyber Ops), you will design and govern security solutions across Cyber Operations in line with enterprise security standards and customer‑defined frameworks. You will bridge Cyber Operations, Enterprise Architecture, and governance teams to ensure solutions are secure by design, scalable, and operationally effective, guiding designs through approval and into delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end security solutions across Cyber Operations domains including SOC, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and Security Automation.
• Translate operational requirements into architecturally compliant designs aligned to approved security standards, frameworks, and patterns.
• Produce high‑quality architecture artefacts to support design, governance, and delivery activities.
• Ensure solution designs meet security, resilience, scalability, performance, and operability requirements.
• Prepare and present solution designs to the Architecture Design Authority (ADA), clearly articulating design intent, key decisions, risks, and mitigations.
• Maintain traceability between customer standards, enterprise frameworks, and implemented solutions.
• Innovate security solutions within defined architectural guardrails by leveraging existing platforms and capabilities.
• Partner with Cyber Operations teams to improve security outcomes, efficiency, and resilience without introducing architectural divergence.
• Act as a trusted architectural advisor to Cyber Operations leads, engineers, and delivery teams.
• Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Security Architect to align solution designs with strategic roadmaps and architectural direction.
• Support delivery teams during implementation by clarifying designs and resolving architectural issues.
• Ensure security designs address regulatory, contractual, and customer security requirements.
• Support assurance, audit, and compliance activities through design justification, threat models, and evidence provision.
• Ensure solutions are operationally viable, supportable, and aligned with SOC and operational processes.
• Support transition of approved solutions into build and run phases while maintaining architectural oversight.

Your Profile

Essential skills / knowledge / experience

• Strong experience in cybersecurity roles, with experience operating in an architecture or senior design capacity.
• Demonstrated experience architecting solutions across Cyber Security and Cyber Operations functions.
• Experience working within predefined enterprise security frameworks, standards, and architectural guardrails.
• Ownership of solution architecture from concept to operational handover, including high‑level and detailed design and security assurance.
• Experience collaborating closely with SOC, Incident Response, and platform teams to deliver operationally viable designs.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
