We are looking for an organised and proactive Intern to support our UK Immigration team. This role offers hands-on exposure to immigration application support, administration, compliance and processes. The successful candidate will assist with visa application preparation and submission, document tracking, research and reporting while developing a strong understanding of UK immigration categories, focusing on sponsored work routes; Global Business Mobility and Skilled Worker pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of UK immigration applications and related case documents initially under supervision.
- Navigation of the UK Points-Based System (PBS) and the Sponsorship Management System (SMS).
- Assist with administrative tasks across sponsored work routes, including Global Business Mobility and Skilled Worker categories and other UK work-related immigration matters.
- Track deadlines, application stages, right to work documentation and internal compliance requirements.
- Conduct research on UK immigration rules, policy updates and procedural guidance.
- Help maintain accurate case records, trackers and employee data in line with internal processes.
- Prepare first drafts of status updates and internal reports.
- Liaise professionally with internal stakeholders to gather required information and documents.
- Support audits, data checks and reporting activities related to UK immigration.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, templates and knowledge resources for the team.
Skills and Experience
- Strong interest in UK immigration, global mobility, HR, employment law or international business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and to deadline.
- Comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
