• Lead architecture for next‑generation data platforms across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Design target states, rationalize legacy estates, and orchestrate migrations to Lakehouse and warehouse paradigms with Snowflake and Databricks at the core.
• Drive impactful change by implementing governance, security, and performance guardrails for enterprise‑scale data solutions.

The Role

As a Data on Cloud Architect, you will define and implement cloud‑native data platform architectures, enabling scalable, secure, and cost‑optimised solutions. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver modern data ecosystems that empower analytics and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Implement FinOps and performance guardrails – workload sizing, cost telemetry, and optimisation (e.g., Snowflake virtual warehouses, Databricks cluster policies).
• Build CI/CD pipelines for data (Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, Terraform/CloudFormation/Bicep); standardise environments and promotion flows.
• Advise on data product operating models (domains, ownership, SLAs); enable self‑service analytics with semantic layers (Fabric, Power BI, Looker).
• Deliver large‑scale migration programs from assessment to cutover.
• Ensure security and compliance through IAM/AD, KMS, data masking, and audit frameworks.
• Work with event/streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hubs, Pub/Sub).
• Collaborate on pre‑sales and PoCs for Azure or GCP‑based solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in cloud‑based implementations.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience

• Extensive experience delivering enterprise‑scale solutions, with a proven track record in designing and implementing architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Advanced hands‑on proficiency in modern data platforms, including Snowflake and Databricks, and deep technical skills in Spark and PySpark for large‑scale data processing.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse, ETL, and BI concepts.
• Experience with big data frameworks and tools: Hadoop, Spark, Python.
• Proven delivery of large‑scale migration programs.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience with major cloud data services across AWS (S3, EMR, Glue, Redshift, Kinesis), Azure (ADLS, Synapse, Data Factory, HDInsight, Analysis Services, Power BI), and GCP (Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Data Fusion).
• Exposure to Iceberg/Delta, dbt, and DataOps/Observability tools (Monte Carlo, Databand).
• Experience with regulatory data in BFSI (risk, finance, regulatory reporting).
