The Role
As an SAP Basis Consultant, you will lead SAP Basis and NetWeaver activities, providing expert technical consultancy across system landscapes. You will prepare detailed due‑diligence assessments, helping customers identify system gaps, modernisation opportunities, and alignment with market‑leading practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end SAP BASIS activities throughout the Bluefield project lifecycle, including planning, design, build, testing, go‑live, and post‑go‑live support.
- Set up, configure, and optimise SAP system landscapes and environments based on project and business requirements.
- Collaborate with cloud service providers or SAP RISE teams on infrastructure provisioning, capacity planning, environment setup, and system deployment.
- Coordinate with SAP for shell creation, provisioning services, and required technical enablement for migration and build activities.
- Work closely with multiple delivery partners to ensure smooth, aligned, and timely execution.
- Serve as a technical bridge across cross‑functional and cross‑vendor teams to ensure coordinated delivery.
- Provide regular status updates, conduct technical workshops, facilitate discussions, and drive issue resolution across stakeholders.
Your Profile
- Strong experience managing SAP system landscapes, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PO, PI, Solution Manager, BTP, Fiori, and related components.
- Demonstrated expertise in system installations, upgrades, migrations, and kernel updates across ABAP and Java stacks.
- Hands‑on experience with client copies, system refreshes, transport management, and performance tuning.
- Practical experience administering database platforms such as HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server, including routine health checks and maintenance.
- Experience leading and executing S/4HANA migration projects using tools such as CrystalBridge or similar Bluefield/Selective Data Transition (SDT) approaches.
- Proven ability to collaborate with functional, technical, and transformation teams during system conversions, selective data transitions, and infrastructure alignment.
- Capable of providing BASIS support across pre‑migration assessments, conversion cycles, cutover planning, and post‑migration hypercare phases.
