We support them in making a meaningful difference to the people and communities they serve - our clients include some of the biggest brands in the UK and worldwide. For you, it means more to make an impact that matters, through challenging projects which demand ambitious innovation and thought leadership.
Drive data integrity, governance, and responsible AI adoption. Work with cutting‑edge digital and AI platforms. Enable automation, intelligence, and smarter decision‑making at enterprise scale.
About the role: You will be part of a delivery team (Agile/Scrum squad) and expected to operate as a senior individual contributor within the TA capability. You will work closely with Customer, Solution Architect, Scrum Master, Salesforce Delivery Lead, and cross‑functional digital teams (Web/App/DAM). You will act as a bridge between Salesforce and the wider digital estate, ensuring end‑to‑end customer journey and data/process alignment across platforms.
Primary objectives:
- Leading discovery, analysis, and documentation of business and functional requirements for a greenfield Salesforce platform and the wider digital landscape—Web, Mobile App, DAM, and SPURSPLAY—to enable delivery of a large‑scale digital transformation programme.
- Leading discovery and requirements definition across Salesforce (Sales, Service, Commerce, ideally Marketing Cloud / Agentforce) and the wider digital estate (Web/App/DAM/SPURSPLAY).
- Translating business needs into deliverable user stories and functional specifications, ensuring traceability from vision → epics → features → stories → acceptance criteria.
- Driving alignment between business stakeholders, digital product teams, and Salesforce delivery teams on process, data, and customer journey design.
- Enabling Agile delivery by supporting backlog creation, refinement, prioritization, sprint planning, and definition of “done”.
- Assuring solution quality by validating requirements, supporting UAT, and ensuring outcomes match business intent and compliance needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and govern the end‑to‑end technical architecture of the Salesforce platform, ensuring alignment with the Client's wider digital transformation and enterprise architecture strategy.
- Define the strategy and technical design for integrating Salesforce with third‑party systems (including AWS Connect) via middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), REST/SOAP APIs, and event‑driven architectures.
- Own the enterprise data model within Salesforce.
- Establish and enforce rigorous security protocols, identity and access management (SSO, OAuth), and compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR).
- Lead Technical Design Authority and conduct regular architecture and code reviews. Act as the final gatekeeper for system performance, scalability, and governor limit management before major releases are handed over to the DevOps/Release Management pipeline.
- Partner with the CRM Tech Lead and external Systems Integrators (SIs) to translate complex business requirements into elegant, scalable technical designs, providing clear documentation and sequence diagrams.
- Lead the rapid prototyping of new Salesforce features (such as Agentforce capabilities) to validate technical feasibility before committing to full‑scale development.
- Provide deep technical guidance and mentorship to the Salesforce Developers, elevating the overall technical acumen of the internal team.
Key skills / knowledge:
- Experience as Salesforce Technical Architect.
- Strong Salesforce knowledge across Sales, Service, Commerce (with integration and digital channel alignment exposure).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments delivering iterative releases.
- Experience with requirements for customer journeys, omnichannel processes, and digital experiences (Web/App).
- Demonstrated ability to act as a bridge between Salesforce delivery and digital product teams.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce ecosystem: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, ideally exposure to Marketing Cloud and/or Agentforce.
- Understanding of how Salesforce integrates with wider digital platforms: Web/App front ends, DAM, and enterprise integration layers/APIs.
- Experience defining requirements for greenfield implementations and platform standardization.
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams as a core member (BA/Proxy PO style collaboration).
- Skilled at backlog management, story decomposition, definition of ready/done, and iterative delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management across business and technical audiences.
- Strong facilitation skills, ability to influence decisions, and drive alignment across teams/vendors.
- Confident presenting to senior stakeholders and working within governance structures.
