The Role
As a Java Developer you\’ll be responsible for access to cutting edge technologies like Java, Spring boot, Restful API, Microservices, Front end and backend technologies.
Key responsibilities:
- Designing and building a new application to support the migration to Modern components using Java, Spring Boot.
- Develop well-designed APIs, and high-volume data pipelines.
- Work with API specs and automation to maintain the resilience, performance and availability of a group of applications.
- Creating dashboards leveraging splunk, Grafana and kibana.
- Review current issues and work with the Engineering team to get code fixed and deployed.
- Build apps that meet compliance and audit requirements which are crucial for the financial services industry.
- Participate in reviews of your own and other colleagues\’ work.
- Lead the team through high priority requests.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience
- Experience working in backend languages/frameworks e.g., Java, and Spring Boot.
- Works well under high-pressure timelines.
- Experience in Source control using tools such as Git with DevOps and IT automation concepts.
- Previous experience with design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriate.
- Skilled in distribution of (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
- Ability to understand and use complex data structures and associated components.
- Basic knowledge of infrastructure technologies and components.
- Incident management system knowledge (service now).
- Familiar with Safe Agile or other rapid application development methods.
- Previous experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Domain Knowledge of payment instruments, such as credit/debit cards through recurring, one-time, or scheduled payments, as well as wire, checks, cross-border remittance, and consumer loans.
- Experience of integration with Global Payment Network, Tokenization, Safekey and similar products.
- Business knowledge and experience with SOA Architecture Modernization, Microservices, data localization, tokenization, and PCIDSS compliance.
