Careers at TCS: It means more

TCS is a purpose-led transformation company, built on belief.

We do not just help businesses to transform through technology.

We support them in making a meaningful difference to the people and communities they serve - our clients include some of the biggest brands in the UK and worldwide.

For you, it means more to make an impact that matters, through challenging projects which demand ambitious innovation and thought leadership.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Infrastructure Architect to support a large-scale transformation programme by defining the target-state cloud architecture, landing zone, security model, network topology, environment strategy, and infrastructure readiness for Oracle workloads.

The architect will work closely with enterprise architects, security teams, application owners, infrastructure teams, and programme stakeholders to design a secure, scalable, resilient, and governance-aligned OCI foundation for enterprise applications, integrations, analytics, and platform services.

This role is focused on the pre-implementation phase only, including assessment, architecture design, sizing strategy, environment planning, security and network blueprinting, migration readiness planning, DR strategy definition, and governance alignment before execution begins.

Experience designing cloud platforms compliant with NHS DSPT, Cyber Essentials, UK GDPR, NCSC guidance and public sector security standards.

Your responsibilities

Define the target-state OCI architecture for the transformation programme, including compute, storage, networking, identity, security, and platform services.

  • Conduct current-state assessment and fitment analysis for existing infrastructure, hosting landscape, dependencies, and cloud readiness.
  • Prepare and own High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design inputs, architecture principles, and infrastructure blueprints.
  • Designing the OCI landing zone includes tenancy structure, compartments, tagging strategy, policies, guardrails, and governance controls.
  • Define network architecture including VCN design, subnets, DRG, Fast Connect/VPN, routing, segmentation, DNS, and connectivity with on-prem / third-party environments.
  • Establish security architecture including IAM model, federation/SSO approach, key management, secret handling, bastion strategy, logging, monitoring, and security baselines.
  • Define environment strategy for non-production and production landscapes, capacity planning, HA/DR architecture, backup approach, and resilience requirements.
  • Collaborate with application, database, middleware, integration, and security teams to ensure OCI design supports business and technical requirements.
  • Experience designing hybrid OCI infrastructure architectures, identity federation, network integration, and cross-cloud security controls.
  • Define a secure, governance-aligned OCI platform capable of supporting Oracle Fusion, OIC/OICS, API-led integration, hybrid cloud connectivity, EDI integration, NHS security and compliance requirements, and enterprise-scale operational resilience.
  • Define migration readiness strategies including workload classification, dependency mapping, sizing assumptions, deployment approach, and transition prerequisites.
  • Support architecture governance by tracking risks, assumptions, dependencies, standards, and design decisions for programme milestones and stakeholder approvals.

  • Proven experience in enterprise cloud transformation programs, landing zone design, and platform standardization
