The Role

As a Senior Guidewire Architect, you will be part of the strategic policy and claim admin platform consolidation program. In this role you will plan and execute all deployment of system features and monitor for successful integration, maintaining the system throughout its lifecycle. You should have expertise in Guidewire Claims Centre V10 & Cloud migration and implementation for new product LOBs (configure and customise ClaimCenter/PolicyCenter Application as required) and knowledge of insurance domain and claims process.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and technology stream in Guidewire ClaimCenter programs, managing architecture teams drawn from TCS, the client and other third-party delivery partners and product vendors.
  • Ideate and design end-to-end solutions for Guidewire ClaimCenter implementation and integration of Guidewire specific to customer environment.
  • Handle end-to-end architectural responsibilities from solution design, data migration planning, capacity planning, application security, process orchestration, application and data integration etc.
  • Conduct architectural and technical reviews to meet development standards.
  • Provide necessary software development leadership to the development team, help ensure that the architectural vision is realized during the development and support the team through the release of code to production.
  • Conceptualize, document and communicate high level system requirements based on business requirements.
  • Present alternative solutions that consider non-functional requirements such as system performance, maintainability and security.
  • Work with enterprise solution architects and elaborate the enterprise solution architecture into the necessary application architecture.
  • Create application architecture and the high-level design for the chosen solution.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Understand the Guidewire Data Model and the Application Landscape.
  • Experience in integrating Guidewire Claims Centre with downstream systems including finance systems (general ledger), payment systems and documents management systems.
  • Experience in integrating Guidewire Claims Centre V10 and SaaS Cloud with third party/broker policy management systems.
  • Experienced in migrating data from legacy systems to Guidewire Claims Centre.
  • Expertise in reconciling data from Guidewire with Datawarehouse.
  • Experience and abilities demonstrated with GOSU programming, XML, PCF, REST and SOAP.
  • Experience with source code management systems such as Subversion, GitHub.
  • Knowledge of General Insurance domain and claims processes.
  • Experience working in multiple technologies and platforms.
  • Experience working in projects in a Distributed Agile environment (onshore / nearshore / offshore).
  • Ability to work directly with business partners to translate business requirements into system requirements.
  • Strong preference to Guidewire Certifications in Configuration and Integration (specifically also has experience in Portals and DataHub).
  • Lead from the Front, Proactive and “get-the-job” done attitude.
  • Excellent written and Oral Communication Skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to demonstrate the solution and influence CxO level stakeholders.
  • Skills in stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
  • Proven expertise in GW Cloud programs – greenfield and/or migration experience.
  • Experience in leading a technical team to drive efficiencies in Guidewire estate with multiple products/LOBs.
