The Role
You will be working for a customer who is second largest manufacturer of Aero Engines for large commercial and business aviation. Primary role is to design and analysis Aero-engine components according to customer standards and processes. Work will involve Prepare design documentation, present designs in technical reviews etc.
There will be initial training about Design and standards along with guidance and support available throughout design life cycle.
To work for some of the Defense programmes an individual must hold a Security Check clearance. TCS will support the application for Security Clearance if and when required.
Key responsibilities:
- Create and modify 3D CAD models using CATIA/NX or equivalent.
- Working in a Team environment on Design and Documentation
- Support the design and modification of aero-engine external components, such as: Pipes, Harness, Brackets and supports
- Active participation in the training conducted.
- Perform basic engineering calculations
- Aero-engine component Design and Documentation
- Preparing for Design Reviews
- Requirements gathering and stake holder connect.
- Liaising with customers and seeking required approval.
- Support tolerance stack-up, GD & T and interface assessments.
Technical skills/knowledge/experience:
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive or related engineering.
- Knowledge in 3D modelling and Analysis software’s such as NX, Catia V5, Hypermesh, ANSYS, Nastran/Patran etc
- Aerospace and aero Engine Knowledge
- Fluency in written/Spoken English
- Basic Mechanical Engineering Knowledge
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- MS Office (Word/Excel/Power Point) and Computer skills
- Enthusiasm to learn and contribute.
- Team Skill
- Any Design/stress experience will be an added advantage
- Technical publications/White papers
