The Role

As an Employee Engagement Intern, you will be based in Edinburgh, Scotland and will be part of the Talent Engagement function of the UK & Ireland HR team, focusing on enhancing employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. This role is ideal for an energetic, dynamic, and creative graduate who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and is eager to learn and grow in HR, engagement, wellbeing, and communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver the Employee Wellbeing and Engagement Calendar to enhance employee experience.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to support engagement initiatives, including planning, communication, and event organisation.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team to support event communications and calendar management.
  • Work closely with the Talent Engagement and HR team to deliver engagement initiatives.
  • Lead a network of employee volunteers to plan and execute initiatives across employee groups.
  • Create and maintain reports at geographical and corporate levels.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and policies, including Data Privacy and GDPR.

Your Profile

  • Good organisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong marketing and communications capabilities.
  • Experience or interest in event planning and management.
  • Ability to manage and maintain budgets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
