  • Monitor firewall health, performance, and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Implement, review, and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, and routing configurations in accordance with security standards.
  • Support incident response and problem management activities relating to network security events.
  • Support Fortinet firewalls deployed in cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and OCI.
  • Assist with the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure network connectivity between on-premise and cloud environments (e.g. VPNs, routing, segmentation).
  • Work closely with cloud, DevOps, and security teams to ensure consistent network security controls across hybrid estates.
  • Ensure all changes align with organisational security policies, architectural standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, including network diagrams and operational runbooks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to deliver secure and reliable network services.
  • Participate in on-call or out-of-hours support, where required.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience supporting Fortinet firewall technologies in a production environment.

  • Experience operating in a structured IT environment with change, incident, and problem management processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues under pressure.
  • Experience supporting network security controls in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or OCI).
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
