The Role
As an Oracle Fusion R2R Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and standardising Record-to-Report (R2R) processes within a large-scale Oracle Cloud transformation programme. This role is focused on the pre-implementation phase, including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, process blueprinting, and solution design. You will work closely with finance and IT stakeholders to define scalable, compliant, and best-practice-aligned financial processes across the enterprise.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end R2R solution design across General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, Financial Close, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, and financial reporting.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis to align business requirements with Oracle Fusion best practices.
- Develop functional design documents, solution blueprints, and finance process artefacts.
- Facilitate business process re-engineering workshops to define future-state R2R processes and governance.
- Define finance operating models, including chart of accounts design, close governance, reconciliation ownership, and control frameworks.
- Configure and define foundational setups such as ledgers, legal entities, business units, chart of accounts, and accounting calendars.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AP, AR, Procurement, Projects, Tax, Treasury, and HCM.
- Define integration requirements across Oracle Financials, banks, tax systems, feeder applications, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Support data migration strategies, including chart of accounts mapping, opening balances, fixed assets, and intercompany data.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and transformation impacts to support governance and programme decision-making.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Strong experience in Oracle Finance or R2R functional consulting.
- Hands-on expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials design and configuration, particularly R2R processes.
- Deep understanding of General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Close Management, and Financial Reporting.
- Proven experience delivering finance transformation programmes and global template design.
- Strong knowledge of chart of accounts design, accounting controls, reconciliation, and governance frameworks.
- Experience conducting fit-gap analysis, solution blueprinting, and functional design documentation.
- Hands-on experience defining finance structures such as ledgers, legal entities, and accounting frameworks.
- Familiarity with integration design involving Oracle Financials, banking systems, tax engines, and OIC.
- Experience supporting data migration, reference data mapping, and master data alignment.
- Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and analytical skills.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities in complex transformation environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
