In this role, you will play a critical part in designing and delivering enterprise asset management solutions using IBM Maximo within a highly secure, data-sensitive defence environment. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency, asset performance, and decision-making in a sector where outcomes truly matter. Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of IBM Maximo solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and defence-specific compliance requirements. Define and implement secure, scalable, and resilient solution architectures within highly regulated, data-sensitive environments. Oversee system integration across enterprise platforms, ensuring seamless data flow while maintaining strict security and governance standards. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and delivery teams across the full project lifecycle. Ensure adherence to security, data protection, and regulatory standards, including working within restricted and controlled environments. Review and optimise system performance, reliability, and scalability to support mission-critical defence operations. Support testing, deployment, and release management processes, ensuring high-quality and secure deliverables. Strong hands-on experience with IBM Maximo / Maximo Application Suite (MAS) in architecting and delivering enterprise-scale solutions. Deep understanding of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) processes and asset lifecycle management. Proven experience working in highly secure, data-sensitive environments (e.g. defence, government, or regulated industries). Jython, JavaScript) to customise workflows and business logic. Strong knowledge of database concepts, including data modelling, SQL, performance tuning, and data governance. Solid understanding of solution architecture and enterprise integration patterns, including middleware technologies. Certifications in IBM Maximo, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), or architecture frameworks (e.g. Exposure to IoT, predictive maintenance, or advanced analytics within asset management ecosystems. Experience working with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies in complex transformation programmes. Strong hands-on experience in Java customization within a Maximo environment.
