About the role: With cyber security attacks on the increase and the threat landscape changing, it is important that all assets and services are secure and monitored accordingly, and identified gaps are addressed at the earliest. The role of the CIS Controls Analyst is to ensure the identified gaps are mapped against the relevant CIS controls and all the observations are closed within the required timeline to drive measurable risk reduction for the customer.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead a technical assessment of existing gaps, map and prioritize the controls implementation of CIS controls framework across the enterprise.
- Perform gap analysis and maturity assessments on CIS controls and identified security debts as required.
- Align the identified gaps with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and define control ownership, industry standards and definition of done for each of the identified gaps or control mappings.
- Effectively work with technical teams and stakeholders to translate and map the gaps against the applicable CIS controls.
- Accountable for technical evaluation and ensuring technical teams are delivering against the requirement by conducting periodic assurance against the requirements.
- Coordinate with all the cross-functional teams for dependency and risk management.
- Provide support to operationalize the deployed controls and handover to the BAU team for control operations.
- Provide support for external and internal audits.
- Assist with other security activities and projects as required.
- Engage with and support external stakeholders, including IT teams, users and service requestors.
Your Profile:
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Extensive experience in security roles such as GRC, controls implementation and testing, security engineering and infrastructure.
- Experience implementing CIS controls in a large enterprise.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of security assurance related to controls and processes.
- Knowledge of cloud security controls.
- Industry standard security certifications and training.
- Ability to work under pressure and cope with competing demands.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- Exposure to retail domain.
