The Role:
As a Technical Product Owner, you will be working for the largest postal services provider in the UK. The role is end to end accountability for delivery across technological products and where needed, across business units. This role also requires managing business product owners and other stakeholders, to ensure overall delivery of new technical products and features.
Your responsibilities:
- To identify, plan and coordinate the set of changes to a product domain to maximize value delivered to the customer, including management of commercial activity and changing priorities and features.
- Provide a point of escalation for individual features within change initiatives.
- Manage the approach and the interdependence of delivery of initiatives in support of specific business strategies to ensure that business interests are protected, and requirements met.
- Be accountable for delivery of initiatives (technology, processes, people) as assigned, including articulation and realization of benefits, and slippages or changes against original benefit expectations.
- Full financial responsibility for spend, including establishing budgets, monitoring spends and re-forecasting on a regular basis to highlight issues.
- Responsible for forming and managing effective relationships with business stakeholders and matrix management of business resources in support of delivery.
Your Profile:
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Expertise across enterprise product delivery and engineering practices in a commercial environment.
- Good understanding of Tech Stack - .Net Core, SQL, Azure PaaS and SaaS services for Mobile App development.
- Experience with JIRA, confluence and automated testing and release management tools.
- Project and Program management methodology. E.g. SoS, Kanban, SAFe.
- Experience of going through the transformation from Waterfall to Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience of empowering, enabling, supporting and motivating product teams.
