As a Blue Yonder WMS Technical Consultant (Senior Engineer), you will play a key role in revolutionizing warehousing operations through advanced technologies. Drawing on your extensive expertise in warehouse management and technical architecture, you will design, develop, and implement solutions that optimize processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. Your responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing architecture requirements, and developing tailored strategies.

You will focus on system integration and developing extensions to drive innovation, ensuring seamless automation transitions. You will lead technical excellence, guide engineering and product teams, promote best practices, mentor roles, and help define technical strategies.

Key responsibilities:

• Designing Solutions: Develop end-to-end solutions considering process optimization, system integration, robotics, and IoT technologies.
• Assessing Warehouse Needs: Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate current operations and identify improvement opportunities.
• Technology Evaluation: Research emerging technologies and vendors to select suitable solutions within budget.
• System Integration: Ensure smooth integration of 3PL systems with WMS and other IT systems for real-time data exchange.
• Customization and Configuration: Tailor automation solutions to align with warehouse workflows and operational requirements.
• Performance Monitoring: Use analytics tools to monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement improvements.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication regarding project updates, concerns, and expectations.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies for ongoing enhancements.
• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues promptly.
• Scalability: Design solutions that accommodate future growth and changing needs.
• Product Thinking: Define technology roadmaps, translate business needs into tech requirements, and recognize process gaps.
• System Design: Be proficient in cloud technology and modern architecture strategies.
• Built-in Quality: Own the quality of the product portfolio, ensuring customer satisfaction, system performance, and scalability.

Your Profile

Key skills/knowledge/experience:

• BY Dispatcher Experience: Experience in designing and implementing Blue Yonder Dispatcher solutions.
• Agile: Expertise in Agile and scaled Agile practices like Scrum and Kanban.
• Warehouse Operations Knowledge: Deep understanding of warehouse processes, workflows, inventory, and fulfillment.
• Systems Integration: Strong skills in integrating warehouse systems, software, and hardware components.
• Data Analytics: Ability to analyze data from warehouse management systems for decision-making.
• Engineering and Design: Experience in designing warehouse layouts and configurations for efficiency and safety.
• Communication: Excellent ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date with trends in warehouse automation, robotics, and supply chain tech.
• Leadership: Experience leading teams, managing vendors, and ensuring project delivery.
• Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach to automation needs and goals.

Good to have:

• Familiarity with WMS software and its integration with automation systems.
• Experience working with UK Retailers.
