The Role
- As a
- Senior . NET Developer
, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications, backend services, and microservices within a regulated financial services environment.
You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high‑quality, scalable, and secure solutions while supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain . NET‑based applications, services, and microservices to support business requirements.
- Contribute to feasibility studies, effort estimation, technical planning, and solution design activities.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Analyse complex business and technical problems and develop effective, scalable solutions.
- Develop and implement secure, reliable, and high‑performing application architectures.
- Collaborate with business users, stakeholders, and technology teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support production systems and perform root‑cause analysis for incidents and defects.
- Ensure development standards, operating procedures, and best practices are followed.
- Mentor and support junior developers and team members.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across development practices, tooling, and delivery processes.
- Work independently while managing competing priorities and deliverables.
Your Profile
- Experience in application development, software engineering, or systems analysis roles.
- Strong proficiency in . NET Core and C# development.
- Strong experience with T‑SQL and Microsoft SQL Server (2019/2022).
- Experience developing REST APIs and event‑driven solutions.
- Hands‑on experience with React. js for front‑end development.
- Experience with Kafka (Kaa S – Kafka as a Service).
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Open Shift.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience using source control and development tools including Git Hub, Bitbucket, and Git Hub Copilot.
- Extensive experience analysing, designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications.
- Demonstrated leadership, project delivery, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working within Banking, Financial Services, or other regulated environments.
- Additional experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- Exposure to cloud‑native deployment practices and Dev Ops methodologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
