About the role

The Senior Technical Architect will play a critical role in the day-to-day technical delivery of client’s Oracle Fusion programme, providing hands-on technical leadership across Oracle Fusion applications, integrations, OCI PaaS services, and reporting & analytics. The role will act as the primary technical escalation point for delivery teams, ensuring that solutions are buildable, secure, supportable, and aligned to agreed architecture standards, while supporting senior governance and transition to BAU.

Your responsibilities

  • Technical Delivery & Solution Design
    • Produce and maintain detailed technical solution designs across Oracle Fusion and associated cloud services
    • Translate functional requirements into implementable technical architectures
    • Review and challenge supplier designs to ensure alignment with programme standards and non-functional requirements
    • Support phased delivery across ERP, PaLS, HCM, Payroll, SCM, and WMS modules
  • Integration Architecture & Delivery Support
    • Design, oversee, and support enterprise integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
    • Define integration standards including Error handling, Monitoring, Retry logic, Security patterns
    • Act as technical escalation for interface and data synchronization issues
    • Support PO and non-PO invoice integrations and satellite system connectivity
    • Provide technical oversight and hands-on support for OCI and PaaS services, including Oracle Integration Cloud, Autonomous Database, Visual Builder / APEX, OCI networking (VCNs, Bastion, VPN)
    • Review CI/CD pipelines, Terraform scripts, and deployment approaches
    • Support environment provisioning, configuration, and promotion activities
  • Reporting, Data & Analytics
    • Provide technical leadership across reporting and analytics solutions, including OTBI, BI Publisher, BICC, Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI)
    • Support data validation, reconciliation, and performance troubleshooting
    • Advise on appropriate reporting approaches aligned to business needs and governance
  • Environment, Release & Deployment Support
    • Coordinate and support technical activities across environments (DEV, SIT, UAT, GOLD, PROD)
    • Support environment refreshes, cloning, and data masking activities
    • Provide technical assurance for releases, cutover, and go-live readiness
    • Support early life support and hypercare activities
  • Identity, Security & Access
    • Support implementation and troubleshooting of Oracle Fusion security roles and RBAC, Microsoft EntraID integration, OCI and PaaS access controls
    • Act as escalation point for complex access and segregation-of-duties issues
    • Ensure compliance with public-sector and client’s security standards
    • Act as the primary technical escalation point for critical defects and incidents
    • Lead root-cause analysis across suppliers and workstreams
    • Validate and approve technical fixes prior to deployment
    • Support defect triage during SIT, UAT, dress rehearsals, and go-live
  • Service Delivery & Transition to BAU
    • Support definition of the target Service Delivery Model and service catalogue
    • Ensure operability, monitoring, and support requirements are embedded in designs
    • Contribute to runbooks, support procedures, and knowledge-transfer activities
    • Support transition planning and early life support
  • Stakeholder & Workstream Collaboration
    • Work closely with functional leads, delivery partners, and programme management
    • Provide technical input into governance forums as required
    • Support coordination across technical workstreams and suppliers

Your Profile

Essential Technical Skills

  • Strong experience as an Oracle Fusion Technical / Solution Architect
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion ERP, HCM, Payroll, SCM modules
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Oracle PaaS services (Autonomous DB, Visual Builder / APEX)
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns (API, file, event-based)
  • Experience with reporting and analytics OTBI, BI Publisher, BICC, Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI)

Functional & Domain Knowledge

  • Solid functional understanding of HCM & Payroll, Finance (ERP), Procurement & SCM
  • Ability to translate functional business processes into technical solutions
  • Experience working alongside functional consultants and business stakeholders

Delivery & Programme Experience

  • Experience in UK public sector or similarly complex regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of Phased go-lives, Multi-supplier delivery models, Governance and assurance processes
  • Experience with Oracle WMS (LogFire), Oracle EPM, CI/CD pipelines, Service transition and ITIL-aligned support models.
  • Oracle certifications (Fusion, OIC, OCI).

Personal & Leadership Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix, multi-vendor environment
  • Comfortable acting as a technical escalation point
  • Pragmatic, delivery-focused, and quality-driven
